Newspaper report documenting the funeral of Roger Casement, March 1st, 1965. 

Roger Casement was an Irish patriot, poet, revolutionary and nationalist. He was involved with trying to smuggle weapons into Ireland for the 1916 Easter Rising against British occupancy. He was arrested on charges of treason, sabotage and espionage against the Crown and imprisoned in the Tower Of London. He was hanged at Pentonville Prison, London, August 3rd, 1916. 

In 1965, Casements body was repatriated to Ireland and, after a State Funeral, was buried with full military honours in the Republican plot of in Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin after lying in state in Arbour Hill for five days, during which time an estimated half a million people filed past his coffin.
