Cumann Na nGaedheal - 'The Shadow Of The Gunman' Election Poster
The Cumann Na nGaedheal ("Society of the Gaels") was the pro treaty party elected in 1923 and who retained power until the 1932 election. During the 1932 election they used this poster to warn against the return of the gun to politics, 'warning' us not to forget’ the gunman' i.e. Fianna Fail.
