Description

The Savoy Cinema is the oldest operational cinema in Dublin and the choice cinema in Ireland for film premieres.

The Savoy opened in 1929 to great fanfare indeed. The people of Dublin could not believe their eyes when they entered the luxurious auditorium for the first time. The fledgling Irish nation was coming of age. As one old Dub recalled many years later, "Jeez, we thought we were in Heaven, twas another world"

This poster is a beaut. The flag draped from the horn is the Dublin flag which dates back to the 13th century. The three castles burning indicates the zeal of the citizens in defense of the city.

We are delighted to present these fascinating rarities of old Ireland for you to own. We have added an 'aged look' to this print which creates a stunning atmosphere when framed.

We look forward to helping you create your own collection that can be treasured and admired by your family for many generations to come!
