Description
Guinness Fire Brigade in Dublin 1929.
It was common for breweries and distillers to have their own fire brigade due to the highly flammable nature of their work. The Guinness Fire Brigade were actually called upon during the 1916 Easter Rising to help combat the fires that raged through Dublin during and after the fighting. The brigade you see here most likely took part. The Guinness Fire Brigade still exists today.
