Description
Rare election poster on behalf of George Noble Plunkett, Irish nationalist and father of Joseph Plunkett, one of the leaders of the Easter Rising of 1916. In 1917, he won the Roscommon North election in Sinn Féin's first parliamentary win and abstained to take his seat in Westminster. A fine piece of Irish political history!
