'The Lady on the Rock' also known as the 'White Lady' is a modern piece of Dublin art made in 1993 by a man named Harold Gardiner. Gardiner had the mould made so as to gift the statue to friends and family. Harold sadly passed in 1995. His workshop was cleared out at his widows request and the cast was sold to Vincent Doran of Dublin Mouldings. The statues have cropped up in windows across Dublin ever since. The popularity of the statue has led to many theories of the significance of the Lady. She is most prevalent on the north side of the city, and in areas such as the Liberties.
