Today we remember over 1,500 people who perished aboard the Titanic. Many of whom were Irish. Titanic's last collection before setting out on the Atlantic was from Cobh, Co.Cork. Attached: Jeremiah Burke from Cork scribbled a message and put it in a bottle as the Titanic went down. He was lost. The bottle washed up some years later and the note was given to his family.
