Description
The Lusitania was a Scottish ocean liner which was torpedoed by a German U-boat on the 7th of May 1915. It sank in 18 minutes and took place eight miles off the Old Head of Kinsale, Cork, Ireland. It killed 1,198 of the 1,959 people aboard. The sinking caused worldwide horror and a coup for anti-German sentiment. It was instrumental in bringing the U.S into WW1.
