A 1938 election poster supporting Jim Larkin’s attempt to regain his seat in Dáil Éireann as an independent labour candidate, taking a stance on better conditions for the worker and equal opportunities for all. A great force in the course of Irish history and a founder of the Labour Party along with James Connolly and William O'Brien. Big Jim as he was known was a highly effective orator and famous for his speeches on workers rights in Dublin. He was a strong socialist and Irish nationalist.
