Ireland remained under British rule in 1918. The commander-in chief of His Majesty's forces in Ireland - 'The Right Honourable Sir Bryan T. Mahon' issued this Proclamation. The date is 25th March, 1918. The objective was to "Prohibit the holding of any such public meeting or of any such precessions" between 27th March, 1918 and 14th May, 1918.

Were the English worried about Irish Rebels coming out of the woodwork for a repeat of 1916? Now, weren't we Irish an awkward crowd to be dealing with!!!
